A file containing correspondence from the British embassy in Oslo about the attendance of Norwegian Trade Union delegates at the Eighth Labour Conference in Rostock. The Norwegian communist party newspaper, Friheten, had stated that ninety delegates had accepted invitations. The note from the embassy reports that Lars Ramndal, a member of the Norwegian parliament, had accepted an invitation to attend, which could be interpreted unfavourably by the West German government, as Ramndal was the chair of the parliament's legal committee and was responsible for liaison between the parliament and the Ministry of Justice on matters of internal security.
