About the author

Wang Zhenpo is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor in the department of Mechanical Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology. He has been selected into Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of the Ministry of Education (2013), the Hundred Talents Program of Science and Technology (2015), and Young and Middle-aged Leading Talents in Science and Technology Innovation by the Ministry of Science and Technology (2016). He has also been awarded as Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talent of National Ten Thousand Talents Program (2018), fellow of China Society of Automotive Engineers (2021), and Outstanding Technology Innovation Leader of Chinese Transportation Association (2021).

Professor Wang has long been engaged in theoretical research and key technical breakthrough related to new energy vehicles. Centering on the safe, efficient and reliable application of NEVs, he has made significant contributions to operation control, charging prevention, distributed driving, collaborative control and other aspects. Besides, professor Wang has headed over 10 government.sponsored researches such as key projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and National Key Research & Development Program of China. He has published more than 80 SCI/EI papers and 11 monographs as the first author or corresponding author, and authorized 11 patented inventions as the first inventor. He is also a holder of 7 prizes of both national and provincial levels, and experts of general groups on national key research and development project “Integrated Transportation and Intelligent Transportation” for the 13th Five-Year Plan and “New Energy Vehicles” for the 14th Five-Year Plan.
